The presenter insists it was he who refused to continue hosting.
In June 2016, popular television game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
announced that it was ending indefinitely after the show’s sponsor,
telecoms company MTN pulled out. Ultima Studios, the production company
of the show has secured another sponsor and will soon commence shooting
the show’s fourteenth season.
However, long time host Frank Edoho will not be returning when it resumes. At a press conference on Managing Director of Ultima Studio, Feyi Ayeni revealed that Frank Edoho would not be returning because the show needed a younger presenter.
‘We will be getting a younger presenter but Frank remains
a part of WWTBM. We will air highlights from captivating past editions
of the show for about five weeks until we get a new anchor for the
show,’ he said.
In a surprising twist, Edoho who is his mid-forties, fired back on
Twitter saying that it was he in fact who refused the job and he would
not be returning because of a disagreement with Ultima Studios
